I'm excited to share this crochet pattern for these #fabulouslyfestive Granny Square Ear Warmers! I love ear warmers because they keep my ears warm and my hair off of my neck. Anyway, this pattern is easy, quick, and sure to get you in the festive spirit! This is my first written crochet pattern so if you see any errors please let me know!
Granny Square Ear Warmers
3 Colors Medium Weight Yarn
Size 6/G 4.25 Crochet Hook
Scissors
Yarn Needle
I used these three Red Heart Soft yarns from Joann's Craft Store.
Basic Granny Square Pattern
Round 1:
ch 4, sl st into 1st ch forming a circle,
chain 3 dc 2 times into center of circle
*ch 2, dc 3 times into center of circle*
repeat from *'s 2 more times
ch 2, sl st to join round
ch 3 and turn
Round 2:
dc 2 times into ch sp, ch 2, dc 3 times into ch sp
*ch 1, dc 3 times into ch sp, ch 2, dc 3 times into ch sp*
Repeat from *'s 2 more times
ch 1 sl st to join round
Round 3:
Change colors
In corner space, ch 3, dc 2 times into ch sp,
ch 2, dc 3 times into ch sp,
*ch 1, dc 3 times into middle ch sp,
ch 1, dc 3 times into corner ch sp, ch 2,
dc 3 time into corner ch sp*
Repeat from *'s 2 more times
ch 1, dc 3 times into middle ch sp,
ch 1, sl st to join round
Round 4:
Change colors
In corner space, ch 3, dc 2 times into ch sp,
ch 2, dc 3 times into ch sp
*ch 1, dc 3 times into ch sp, ch 1, dc 3 times into ch sp,
ch 1, dc 3 times into corner sp, ch 2 dc 3 times into corner sp*
Repeat from *'s 2 more times
ch 1, dc 3 times into ch sp, ch 1, dc 3 times into ch sp,
ch 1, sl st to join round
Weave in all yarn ends.
And here is the finished square:
You will need 4 completed granny squares for the ear warmers (or however many it takes to fit securely around your head.)
Construction:
Lay 2 squares right sides together and whip stitch along one side.
Repeat until ear warmers form a circle. Weave in all yarn ends. Here is the finished product:
