Walker is 18 months!

My little boy is growing so fast! I can't believe he will be two in just six short months. Anyway, I thought I'd do an update since it's been awhile since the last one.

Walker is extremely mobile these days. He runs everywhere and if I'm not carrying him or holding his hand he's off in the other direction in a split second.

His vocabulary has also been improving in the last couple months. He says "dada" "papa" "Daisy" "ball" "hey" and "oh wow." He can say "mama" but he NEVER EVER does because he's a little stinker.

He's a good eater and is normally happy to try new things. We don't make special meals for him so he just eats whatever we are eating. I try to just ignore him when he won't eat something. I feel like it's my job to provide healthy options and its his job to decide to eat it or not. His favorite foods are grapes, cheese, milk, apples, bananas, goldfish, cottage cheese and applesauce.

I also thought I would write out our daily schedule because I'm encouraged when I read other mom's schedules. It's nice to get a glimpse into other families daily lives and to get ideas.

7:30 or 8:00 - Wake up, Get Dressed, Eat Breakfast.
We normally eat a mix of oatmeal, yogurt, applesauce, granola bars and/or fruit.

9:00 - Go to Park. I try to walk 30 minutes per day and then we normally play for about 30 minutes. Sometimes we drive across town to different parks, but normally we just go down the street. We are blessed to be so close to a great park. We skip the park on Mondays to do laundry, pay bills and go to the grocery store.

10:00 - Run Errands. If I don't have any errands or play dates for that day then we come home and play in the backyard. I try to get outside as much as possible weather permitting. Sometimes I let him watch a TV show at this time.

11:00 - Eat lunch. We normally eat leftovers and/or I give Walker a mix of grapes, cheese, crackers, etc.

11:15-11:45 - Chores. I try to do at least one chore per day so the house stays fairly clean all of the time.

11:45 - Pick up toys and read books together.

12:00 - Nap time for Walker. I try to do my quiet time, blog, read, and practice piano. (I'm attempting to relearn. I took lessons growing up, but quit way too soon.)

2:00 - Snack time. I normally give him crackers and cheese or a piece of fruit. We eat a lot of the same thing around here. I try to provide variety, but it's easy to get stuck in a rut.

2:30 - We normally go outside until daddy gets home. I try to listen to a Focus on the Family broadcast on my phone while he plays.

4:00 - Daddy gets home! This is normally when I start dinner and Mike keeps Walker busy.

5:00 - Dinner time. We eat early around here. :)

5:30 - We normally have somewhere to go or something to get done around the house.

7:00 - Bath time. Honestly we don't have bath time every night, but this is when we do it on bath days.

7:30 -Walker Bed time.

8:00 - Bible time for Mike and I.

Bedtime for us as early as possible. :)

I hope sharing our schedule has inspired or encouraged someone! Have a great day!
