I found this over at Mommy's Me Time and I was so encouraged
that I just had to share it with y'all.
that I just had to share it with y'all.
Good moms breastfeed. Good moms formula feed.
Good moms vaccinate their kids. Good moms don’t vaccinate their kids.
Good moms co-sleep. Good moms use cribs.
Good moms have hospital births. Good moms have home births. Good moms adopt.
Good moms have natural births. Good moms have epidurals. Good moms have c-sections.
Good moms have 10 kids. Good moms have 1 kid.
Good moms use cloth diapers. Good moms use disposable diapers.
From the moment I became pregnant I quickly realized that everyone had an opinion on the best way to raise my child. Of course I didn't need any ones opinion because I had it all figured out. Then Walker was born and I was suddenly clueless. Making choices as a parent is so hard because we all want the best for our children and there is so much conflicting information flying around. It can be overwhelming and frustrating.
So what should we do?
Since becoming a momma I have come to realize and fully believe that God puts unique wisdom and instincts into each of us to be able to best take care of our own children.
What works for me may not work for you and that is okay! We mommas need to give each other some grace and trust that we all love our children and are doing the best that we can with the knowledge that we have. We need to be trusting our God given instincts and cheering each other on in this crazy job called motherhood.
I want to encourage all the mommas reading this.
You are doing a great job!
Keep up the good work and trust God through it all!
"He who began a good work in you
will carry in on to completion until
the day of Jesus Christ."

ReplyDeleteMissy, you are spot on here! Trust Him and your instincts... your children are like no other children. They are yours to guide! Mother's intuition is the best advice to follow!
