Walker's Nursery!!

The nursery is officially done! We went with an Americana theme so it can easily be adjusted as he grows up. My mom did most of the sewing. Here it is:

Mom made the flag pillow and I did the curtains and the throw.
The crib looks a little plain, but they say not to have bumpers or anything in it anymore so it's just a fitted sheet and a quilt! (Mom made both.)
My wonderfully awesome and patient husband put the scripture on the wall (it was a HUGE headache!! Here's to hoping that it stays up!!)
I painted the letters and made the plane out of scrap fabrics and mom made the changing pad:
It's so cluttered already!! :) I know it's only gonna get worse...
Here's a close up of the quilt mom made:
 And the curtain:
 And the flag pillow:
Here I am at (almost) 40 weeks.

Please Lord let baby Walker come soon 'cause we are ready!!
What do you think?

  4. Lovely! I'm surprised you aren't cloth diapering. Sooooo much cheaper. Not for everyone though. Good luck!

  5. Love it! So cute! We don't have a bumper or anything. I do have a crib skirt to dress it up a little, but it always gets crooked when I change the sheets (which is a lot). ; ) He'll be here soon!

  6. I love the theme you chose! And I think the fact that decorating was a family affair makes the room even more special ~ Walker will be constantly surrounded by love! :)

  7. Missy,

Beautiful nursery! I especially like the verse you guys put on the wall. What I like about that verse is how God says: "fruit of the womb" and not "fruit of your womb"--- so adopted or not a child may be... he or she is still "fruit of the womb" and still a sweet reward from The Lord. (So if you guys ever adopt someday... ;)

For now though--- Baby Walker--- I can't wait to see your sweet face!

Sending much love to you today, Alisha
