The Cleaner, The Better

Here's cleaning motivation for women everywhere: According to Time Magazine, the cleaner you keep your home, the more physically fit your likely to be. I guess it makes sense, the person who keeps a tidy home is expelling more energy than the person who doesn't clean at all. Also Newton's Law of Motion could come into play here which basically states that, "an object in motion will stay in motion and and object at rest will stay at rest." Therefore the more your up and moving on a daily basis to keep your house clean the more likely your going to stay up and moving in other areas of your life. Either way this knowledge has given me an extra boost in wanting to keep my house clean. When I go to do a chore now I feel good because I know I'm not only contributing to the good of my family, but also to my own health. That's great news to me! I'm posting my weekly cleaning schedule as motivation to keep myself on track:

Sunday- Rest
Monday - Laundry
Tuesday - Floors (Vacuum, Sweep, Mop)
Wednesday - Bathroom
Thursday -Kitchen
Friday - Dust, De-clutter, Bathe Daisy, Catch up Day
Saturday - Rest

What do you think? Do you agree with these findings?

  1. That's interesting! I believe it. I know that when I'm disciplined in one area, I'm usually more disciplined all around...and when I get lazy in one area, it's hard to not be lazy everywhere. I have some cleaning to do...

  2. This is about like what my schedule looks like too, when I follow one. hehe Although sometimes I switch it up. Mostly, I start with a list at the beginning of the week and check it off as I go. Today was deep cleaning day - organized and cleaned the garage, cleaned the back porch, including scrubbing the furniture, and then scrubbed the grill. Phew! :-)
