10 Encouraging Verses for Labor and Delivery

As I come to the final weeks of this pregnancy I'm attempting to prepare myself physically, mentally and spiritually for labor. One of the things that I feel will help me is using scripture as a means of comfort and strength. I have no idea when or how things will play out, but I do know that God is in control and I have to trust in His promises. 

I put together this set of verses to review and meditate on as the time for labor draws near. I thought I would share them here just in case anyone else is looking for some encouragement in this area as well.

10 Encouraging Verses for Labor and Delivery

"You keep him in perfect peace 

whose mind is stayed on you, 

because he trusts in you." 

-Isaiah 26:3

"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."

-Philippians 4:13

"But you, take courage! 

Do not let your hands be weak, 

for your work shall be rewarded."
