Yarn Along - A Wrap and Vintage Patterns!

It's time for another Yarn Along! I unraveled the butterfly stitch scarf I was working on last week because the yarn was just too bulky and I can't stand to do a project that isn't practical. It was fun learning a new stitch anyway.

This week I'm working on a wrap that is worked in a simple v-stitch. (Pattern here.) Women don't wear wraps much these days. I guess because it's easy just to grab a zip up jacket instead, but back when people dressed up more wraps and shawls were very popular. They are much more elegant than a zip up jacket or a knit cardigan in my opinion.

Anyway, I'm also reading a book called "Upside-Down Prayers for Parents." It's a devotional that focuses on character development and praying God's will into our children's lives. So far it's been really good. I should have a review up on the blog soon.

Also, I found an old Needlework & Crafts magazine at the thrift store yesterday and I've LOVED looking though it! Here are some of the patterns that caught my eye:

I like this "gigantic knit" parka, but I think I'd tone down the buttons a little bit:

Aren't all of these dolls so adorable? I might have to make a few of them someday.
I just love them all!!

I love finding vintage patterns. I bought a lot of knit and crochet books on eBay this week so I might post some more pictures of more patterns soon.

Which pattern is your favorite?
