Baby Bonnet and Mitts Plus More Vintage Patterns!

I'm currently working on a baby bonnet and set of mitts for a baby gift. I'm mostly finished I just have to do a couple more things with the mitts.

I made the bonnet and detachable bow without a pattern so I'm pretty proud of it!

Also, I found several vintage knit and crochet books for .25 a piece at my favorite used bookstore this week!! Here are a few of my favorite patterns.

I've been on the lookout for an openwork crochet top pattern and thought this one might work over another tank:

I really want to crochet a skirt for myself, but patterns that I like are a little hard to come by. This knit skirt could work, but I'm not much of a knitter (yet):

I like this openwork dress for summer:

One of my favorite books is this men's sweater one from the 50's with hand drawn illustrations. Too bad I don't knit and my husband doesn't wear sweaters.

Like I said in an earlier post I'm waiting on a big pile of vintage crochet books that I won on EBay to come in and I will definitely post my favorite patterns when they get here!

Which pattern is your favorite?

  1. Sweet little bonnet and mitts.
Vintage patterns are a lot of fun to look at especially for ideas. I like the look of the tunic.
    Enjoy your new inspiration.

  2. The little bonnet is so cute!! Do you know Drops Design? You can find them here: http://www.garnstudio.com
All their patterns are free and I've noticed a while back some nice crochet skirts. Maybe you'll find something you'll like!

    1. Thanks Sara! I may post the pattern sometime. I'm not an experienced pattern writer so it's kinda intimidating! :)
