Welcome to another yarn along where you share what your currently working on and reading. Come join us!
I'm still working on this granny afghan that will be a Christmas present for my niece and I'm currently reading "Born Again Dirt: Farming to the Glory of God." I won this book through a giveaway and so far it's been an interesting read. I've really enjoyed it.
Also, I finished my Christmas granny afghan! These things take a lot of work, but they are so beautiful and worth it in the end. I'm thinking of a making some granny stockings as well. Wish me luck!!
What have you been working on lately?
Your christmas afghan is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteand your niece is going to receive such a lovely present.
Thanks so much!!
DeleteGranny squares! One day I vow I'll master a hook...
ReplyDeleteYou can do it! It's totally addicting!
DeleteI love both the pink and brown, and the FO granny afghan!! You have been really busy!
ReplyDeleteThat's an understatement lol, but its nice to be able to mark one (big) project off of the list.
DeleteI am working on some cute scarves, knitted, easy peasy. But the worst project I am working on is a cute little pixy hat for my grandson. I keep messing it up and tearing it out. Not sure it will ever get finished in time for Christmas. Oh well I am trying. Also reading "Below Stairs" the book that the series "Upstairs, Downstairs" came from. I am about half way through. Love it, loved watching Downton Abbey as well, the idea behind that series was also the book I am reading. Very interesting. I have decided I need to read more, watch way too many movies and series on Netflix. But the reason is I have to have something to do while knitting!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! I watch Upstairs, Downstairs and Downton Abbey. I can't wait for season 3!!
DeleteNo knitting/crochet projects underway currently - though I did begin a yarn-wrapped wreath, LOL! Does that count? Actually, even that got "shelved" (packed) because I don't have much free time to spare over the next month as I prepare to move. I am slowly reading the book "One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp and I'm loving it so far!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely!
ReplyDeleteI cannot knit or crochet, but I really love handmade gifts! Great idea! :)
The book sound very interesting... would you write something more once completed? :)
