Pillowcase Style Top

This is my first sewing project since I had Walker and it feels sooo good to be craftin' once again! I've been thinking about making a pillowcase style top for awhile now and I LOVE how it turned out! I've made little girl pillowcase dresses before and decided it wouldn't be too hard to make a top for myself.

I used knit for the body so I didn't have to finish the armhole seams, which is pretty much the hardest part in my opinion. It should have only taken me an hour to make, but I ended up cutting the fabric twice the size that it should have been so I had to cut it down multiple times.

Walker actually took a two hour nap so I make it while he was sleeping!
I got the black knit from a thrift store and the floral fabric from JoAnn's.

What do you think?

  2. Great job! The projects you can finish during nap time are the best ones, in my opinion! ; )
