Meet Mercy

Have you heard of Reece's Rainbow? It's a non profit ministry that advocates and raises money for  international adoptions for children with special needs (especially those with down syndrome). I'd love for you to "meet" a sweet little girl from Reece's Rainbow that has stolen my heart in the last few weeks. Her name is Mercy and she is absolutely precious!

 From Reece's Rainbow Website: Girl, Born July 4, 2009

Oh, Mercy is a CUTIE!!!  Many photos available of her. From her medical records:  Myelocele of lumbosacral part of spinal cord (spina bifida, had surgery); flail legs; optic nerve atrophy; congenital hips dislocation, clubbed feet.

 This little girl is so very beautiful, perfect and precious!!
 Would you consider praying for her? That she is taken care of spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Pray that her forever family will find her soon! Pray that her adoption can be fully funded!! Pray that God will speak and move in her life today!
 Would you consider passing her story along and being blessed by how God will work through your advocacy?
Would you consider giving to her adoption fund financially? Many families want to adopt these children, but can't simply because they don't have the money! Currently she has a few hundred dollars raised, but international adoption can cost upwards of $30,000!

Won't you join in God's plan for this little girl and take a stand for the plight of the orphan?

Can you imagine if only this little girl had been born in America?

Surely we would never let her just "wait" to be loved and taken care of if she lived in our own community right?

She's a precious child of God and He has commanded us to love and take care of her!

Won't you consider making a difference today?

"Father to the fatherless, defender of the widow-
this is God, whose dwelling is holy.
God places the lonely in families."
-Psalm 68:5-6

"Learn to do good;
seek justice, correct oppression;
 bring justice to the fatherless,
 plead the widow's cause."
-Isaiah 1:17

"O Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted;
you will strengthen their heart;
you will incline your ear
to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed,
so that man who is of the earth may
strike terror no more."
-Psalm 10:17-18
