Weekly Memory Verse

Welcome to week five of 2012! I'm so glad I'm participating in the memory verse challenge this year and that my husband is doing it with me! Having scripture hidden in your heart makes your life so rich and full of blessings! Here is my verse for this week, selected in preparation for labor:

"But you, take courage!
Do not let your hands be weak,
for your work shall be rewarded."
-2 Chronicles 15:7

What are you memorizing this week?

  3. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! My husband also has no issues falling asleep! He's usually asleep within minutes. Thank you so much for your suggestions. I think it's a great idea to memorize a scripture. I'm going to putting your tips to use along with getting into a good routine to see if I can get things back to normal!

  4. A great verse to memorize for the birth of a child is John 16:21

"A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world."

This verse helped me to deliver two of my three children (the middle one was breech and thus delivered c-section) without the aid of pain meds because it reminded me that our bodies were made to birth and that women have been doing it for generations. And just like the verse says, you forget how it hurt as soon as you hold that baby. :) Good luck with the little one!
