This morning my sister and I made the diaper cake for my baby shower next weekend. We'd never done this before, but I think it turned out great! We used the swirl method instead of rolling and securing each diaper because it was much quicker and it makes it much easier to disassemble. We used this tutorial. Instead of using three different size cake pans (which we didn't have) we used a small saucepan, a cake pan, and a large skillet. They worked great! Here's the cake at several different stages:
I guess you figured out our baby's name. :)
What do you think? Have you made a diaper cake before?

My mind I made diaper cakes for both my aunt and uncle when they were expecting. We rolled up each diaper individually but I think the swirl method you used looks much better! Walker is such a cute name :)
