Yarn Along

I'm participating in the Yarn Along again this week. I don't know if you've noticed, but since it's getting cooler and things in the garden are slowing down I've been crocheting a lot lately. Something about this time of year makes me want to crochet!

I started this sweater on Sunday and it's going pretty quickly. The pattern is here if you want to check it out. It's an easy pattern since it's only worked in two pieces. I'm really liking the yarn I'm using. It's Caron Simply Soft in Sticks and Stones. I think I'm going to have to get another ball before it's all said and done though.

I've had to lengthen it in almost every direction and I'm still a little worried that it will end up too short (I like my shirts long and I'm pretty tall). So I've decided if it's too short I'll have to add an edging around the bottom.

I'm still reading To Heaven and Back. I really need to finish this and get a review up on the blog! Also, I bought a new crochet baby book that I love! Can't wait to make a few projects for Walker this winter! :)

  2. I really like the colour of your yarn. I think there's nothing better than doing some crafting when the nights are getting colder. To Heaven and Back sounds like a very interesting book. Thanks for sharing.

  4. I pinned this pattern off your pinterest boards! It's definitely in the lineup of things I want to make this fall/winter! LOVE the color yarn you chose...I actually looked at yarns last week for this same project and just couldn't make a decision...so I figured it wasn't quite time for it yet...anxious to see your finished project :).

    1. I took me awhile to figure out which yarn to use too. Sometimes we just have too many options! :)

  5. I love that you are so brave to try new things. Every time I get a pattern from your blog (like the infinity scarf), I spend hours on youtube trying to learn how to crochet the particular stitch! This sweather is gorgeous. I may have to try to make one myslef. :-) Thank you for the links to the patterns!

    1. Maybe it's being brave or maybe it's me thinking I'm more skilled than I actually am! lol I guess I feel like I have to just jump in head first since I don't have anyone too teach me except youtube! Too bad we can't all get together for a crochet club.
