I feel like I've been waiting so long to be able to shop for this baby that I was just stomping at the bit to be able to go when we found out it was a boy! I spent the last two days scouring thrift stores and consignment shops to find the best (and cutest!) deals. I got everything pictured above for around $37 total. Can you tell that I like stripes and dark colors? :)
Here's what I got:
1 bathtub (for only $1.75!)
3 newborn hats
8 onesies
1 pair knit pants
5 sleepers
8 romper/playsuits
1 onesie and knit pants outfit
Also I wanted to thank all of the moms who gave me advice on what sizes to buy. I ended up with a mixture of newborn through 12 months. I think I'll focus on 0-3 or 3-6 months though because I just can't convince myself that I'm going to have a small baby! I had so much fun getting to shop for my little boy, but now I'm beat!
I am so excited for you guys to have a boy! Did you have a feeling that it was a boy? Nathan and I will not find out for 4 or 5 more weeks but all my insticts tell me it is a girl! It is the craziest thing! I am curious if maybe I am just way off or this happens to others!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your pregnancy Kristin! Have you been having any sickness? I've always seen myself having a girl, but then a month or so ago I started changing my mind and really wanting a boy. I never had an instinct that I just knew though. I would keep an open mind either way because it's a 50/50 chance!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Missy! We are really excited. I have been very sick! The doctor has prescribed me Zofran for the naseau but it makes me even more tired than I already am just from the pregnancy and makes me feel kind of worthless! So I only take it when the naseau/vomitting get really bad. It seems to be getting better though so hopefully a few more weeks and I will be going strong. I always wanted boys or at least a boy first but either way it will be a great addition to the family!
