I decided that I wanted to begin going a more natural and eco friendly route when wrapping packages this year. Therefore, I've been collecting brown paper, twine, vintage ribbon and vintage wrapping paper from thrift stores for a few months now. I've also got some recycled newspaper held back for later use. I'm not completely switched over yet because I'm still using up what I have left from last year.
I like the effect so far! I also like wrapping (where possible) without a box because it looks more old fashioned that way. Below is some of the vintage paper I bought from the thrift store for something like .10:

Sounds like we think alike with converting over to natural wrapping! I love that you found some things at thrift stores and your stamps on the packages are very cute and creative (not to mention they save you $ on not having to buy tags!)

ReplyDeleteI love brown paper and using twine and stamps...also gingham ribbons. :) Fun packages! Thanks for stopping by my blog ~ I look forward to reading about your scripture memorizing goals here too. I added you to my "Kindred" links. ♥

I am wrapping all my presents with brown paper grocery bags this year, too! I love the look, and it's easy to dress up. I've been blogging about it, to! I love your vintage wrap.
