I'm excited to finally be posting pictures of our house. We have done a lot of work and are proud of the results! :)

We painted the trim/walls and got new carpet with a memory foam pad.
Its seriously the plushest carpet I've ever felt! We got our couches off
of Craigslist for $250 and our curtains were $1 a piece from Walmart!

We added a bar to the the island for extra seating which I love and we painted the walls the same as the living room. We got new light fixtures and a new sink. We also added new hardware to the cabinets. Other than that we just scrubbed until everything looked new again!! (It was pretty nasty)

We got a new fixture and painted the walls. The table came from my grandparents.
Its solid wood and we bought it for $200.

I opted not to post pictures of the office because its pretty messy with scrapbooking and stacks of papers. Don't Judge me. :) I love our little cabin and I've had so much fun decorating it and making it feel like home!! I hope you've enjoyed the pictures!
Your kitchen and dining room look so cozy! I love the cheery red accents. Makes me want to work on my house, too. :)
ReplyDeleteYour home looks very inviting! Is it not amazing what a difference paint can make? What a blessing to get your couch/chair/ottoman and dining room table/chairs for such affordable prices. You two must have been kept very busy performing this transformation, so I hope that you will be able to now find some time to sit down, relax, and enjoy that new comfy couch, those porch rockers, and maybe even that porch swing (once it is hung!).
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...
ReplyDeleteYour house looks amazing! I love all the cabinets you have in your kitchen!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I know I lucked out with cabinet space. I've still got some empty shelves and drawers, but I'm sure it will all get filled over time. :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww you covered up your beautiful hard wood floors. I LOVE wood floors. Very brave of you to buy furniture of CL. I'd be concerned about bugs... like bed bugs. (not just found in beds)
ReplyDeleteI do like the red accents as well! Good job! On keeping a good budget!
Hey Danielle! Actually they weren't real wood they were snap together laminate and the people did a horrible job on the edges so it was definitely an upgrade to put in the carpet.
ReplyDeleteWhat were the previous owners thining with those awful colors on the walls?!? Ick. Great job! You guys did awesome! So homie and comfy now.
ReplyDelete(By the way - we have the same bed.)
Great job, you two!
Nice comforter! :-) I really do like it, but we just need a change. I saved it in case I need another change in the future. Thanks for visiting!
